Hi, I bought this from a guy who said its form a s14. I have a 1991 240sx hatch. Is there anyway that I can confirm this so I know which drive shaft to buy. I saw a diagram of the S14 with the clutch lines and it showed a line going from one part of the transmission to the other for the S14 but not the S13. I did not see this on the one I have. Also I am almost done with my swap from auto to manual im having a very difficult time finding a cheap drive shaft. Are the green and black wire from the auto transmission for the reverse lights? If this is a S14 transmission will I have any problems besides drive shaft length????

come on no one knows what year the TA71B#5 is from>??? another user on this has one and says its a 89. should I assume that mine is also for a s13?

Post a picture of the part you are talking about, the "TA71B#5" number doesn't mean a thing to me, and I'm assuming it doesn't mean anything to anyone else either.
