I still have my POGS somewhere in my parents attic. That's where my Magic cards were too until this summer when my buddy convinced me to go dig them out and try playing. I hadn't played in like 8-9 years, he had been playing off and on all those years, I got my *** handed to me. But boy did I kick his *** back in the day
You're not a true nerd until you MAKE your own card game.
That's right I did. It was a mech battle type of card game where you had to "build" your robot giving it a body, head, left and right arms, and legs. Each had a certain amount of HP and the arms had certain carriage points. Each weapon was worth a certain amount of carriage points. The weapons also had a damage code that was used against the armor of the targeted part of the robot. Using a dice you subtract the armor from the damage code and if you break the difference you do a certain amount of damage according to weapon used. Then there were certain cards that you could play like... certain sites you were fighting in and such like cities and deserts and mountains and forests giving you added bonuses to your armor. Then there was event cards and the likes that did things like overheat your robot or their robot or something and oh man it was great.... anyway... tell noone!

i cant talk, i made TONs of games up. we made a roleplaying game we were playing in the halls of my highschool at the end of the junior year. i made these character sheets and all this crap. it was kinda fun, cept no teachers would help us with it. i also made this big board game like warhammer using weapons and warriors pieces. im trying to remmber if i made a card game, but i dont think i did.

its kinda like D&D, only in card form....
You play a wizard. you have spells that can create creatures, and have effects on those creatures. you also have lands. lands give you your power to cast creatures. you're trying to defeat your opponent, another wizard. your creatures can attack his/her creatures or him/her personally. you both start with 20 life points, and you can go up or lose points during the game. you lose by either losing all life points or running out of cards.
