Hey,I upgraded my turbo to a t3 and is being installed as I write this. I was wondering what rpm range would the turbo begin to spool up? I have a port and polished head with cam gears and a exhaust. Everything else is stock. Anybodys help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Charlie

There's no telling until you get that puppy on the road. There's a lot of factors that effect spool time. The turbo wheel sizing and housing size, the timing on your motor, the cam timing, the cam profile, etc. You will just have to wait and see.

You bought and installed a T3 turbo and you have NO IDEA when it's going to spool? Wow. Just Wow. Did doing some research beforehand cross your mind or did you just pay some shop to "upgrade your turbo."

This is not the best way to go about making more power. I assume you still have the stock injectors and stock ECU? LOL.

Do the Z31 t3 bolt on to sr20det ? And i read in FAQ that the injectors will support 1 bar but how far will the stock turbo go ? it is a t25 correct ?

You can't really just give a time it will run at a certail amount of boost. There are simply too many other factors. What other mods does the car have? Which chassis is the car? Who is driving? Where is the car being tested at? See what I mean?

The swap isn't simply for people who want to go fast, but for people who actually have a love for Nissans and the motor at hand. It's a hobby....

If you wanna go fast, but dont want to spend any money, be like everyone else and their mother. Buy a camaro and spray it. You'll be fast, but you'll be just like everyone else. You wont look good doing it, and you'll be stuck with a camaro that you'll never be able to sell. Spend a little money and be unique. You decide.

ok, so after both of the prvious replies you failed to answer the question. " what kind of RWHP does SR20det have @ 1bar ? " and if you are familiar what kind of 1/4 times have they produced @ 1 bar in a 89 hatch ?

no one will just give you the answer tht is common for this forum, the simple truth is they would rather have you build it and see then just give it away. if you want speed go for a bike 9's with little effort. seriously I'd guess 260-270 on stock turbo assuming its a S13 motor.

Yo, you can just plug all of it in if you have a virtual dyno program. I don't have one right now and can't remember any particular names but do a Google search or I'm sure sumbody here knows what I'm talking about. All you need are all of the vital components of your engine. The only question mark is the programs ability to dyno a t/c'd engine, I come from Club 3g where turbos are still rare.

It's called a G-Tech, and it's not the most accurate thing in the world.
