i don't know if this is the right section but i have a jdm gtir pulsar and i have two questions.

1) how much boost can i run on stock internals and stock t28?

2) also i was thinking of swaping my stock t28 for a (turbonetics Turbo t3/t4, .50A/R and .48 exhaust housing .50 trim) and i wanted to know if that is a good turbo for the sr or is it to big?

1) As much as you can push out of that T28 efficiently and then some. I think they max out efficiency around 18psi, but I don't remember exactly.

2) You'll have to get an adapter to put that Turbonetics turbo on there, as it has a different bolt setup. Dig around the internet or just ask Turbonetics and they should be able to help. T3/T4s aren't terribly uncommon on SRs. If you don't mind a dose of lag, it'll definitely increase peak power.

Alright the t28 can run max of 18 psi but how much boost can a stock gtir take that is what psi is safe to run on stock internals and injectors etc

Pushing the envelope to say, the GTiR can problem handle around 500hp. But that is with upgraded injectors, turbo and maf. The stock setup of a GTiR is good for 300-320whp all day long. You can run the T28 at 18psi, but I wouldn't recommend this for daily abuse. Maybe for dyno's or track days. The turbo goes out of its efficiency range around 1.1 bar(16lbs). The t3/t4 setup you mentioned is a good way to get around 350whp, but bigger injectors are needed because the 444's even at 4 bar will be 100% duty cycle and bigger maf. You can run around 20lbs of boost on the t3/t4, with race gas. Anything over 16lbs on the sr, race gas is recommended. Might as well be safe than sorry. You can also upgrade the a/r on the t3/t4 to make more horsepower if 350 isn't good enough for you.

So in summary:Stock gtir block can handle 500hp*pushing things*The gtir T28 makes good power until around 16psi.The injectors are running @ 3bar and they are good for 300+whp and if you run them at 4bar fuel pressure, they are good for 330-340whp.The maf is good for around 300whp. Anything more and a bigger maf is required or boring the gtir maf works as well. Bored GTiR maf is good for 340whp.

Hope this helps.

It's just a specific design for the motor. The roller rocker sr20de in the the B15 and P11 vehicles have top feed injectors as well. Doesn't make them any less of a SR, just a design. The GTiR also has quad throttle bodies that is shared with no other SR.

Who said it wasn't?

After looking at his cardomain site, I see where this question is going.

The answer is NO you can't put a GTiR motor into a 240.

I didn't have any such idea of putting a sr in my 180sx. I don't want to talk negatively about the sr since i am on the sr forum so i'll just say that i love my bullet proof ca.I was just getting some general knowledge about the GTiR because my friend has a jdm pulsar GTiR a we are doing some work on it. We need some injectors and i was trying to find out if the GTiR injectors were top feed low impadance just like the ca because i have some after market 550cc ca injectors and was thinking of using them. From what you said sounds like they will work so thankyou.
