Which turbo do you think would provide a better power band for highway?

By Highway Powerband i take it you mean all top end. My 2871R .86 can be pretty crazy on the highway. When i ran the Megan Manifold, Greddy Manifold, and HKS 264 Step 1 Cams it would make power clear to 7500rpm and still climbed. Used to sprint to 170mph pretty quickly. T3/T4 50 Trim .63 A/R is an awesome turbo too. Definitly will make more power than the GT2871R.

2871r

Maybe 20 hp less top end then a larger t3/t4, but you'll be much quicker off the line.

I don't care about first gear.Which would have more power up top in higher rpms?

With 264 cams will I need valves, retainers, etc.? Is it too big for the stock ones?

It'll be quick to start in any gear. Mine's good from in any gear at any rpm.

PS: Roll racing from 60 is gay. Try racing from low 2nd gear RPM to see who's car is built better.

GT2871R and TO4E both are very good turbo . (To4E 60-1 is more top end)

Spend a bit more $$$ and get GT3071R or GT35RL with new manifold .Both very good for top end.

2871R is pretty awesome when setup properly. But if your looking for crazy top end then always go big turbo like GT35R or GT4088R but be prepared to start running around 5krpm in any gear. Either way your gonna need to build the head some to support 8500rpm revs to get a decent powerband.
