Since T3 FINALLY burned thru the 5 sets of discount guide parts -- only took 5 months..........We have to come up with another discount idea for members.........my thoughts are to let members have a ONE [1] time go [1 service ticket] at bring their own parts [assuming they are clean BRAND new not junk yard] and only charging our regular labor rates...[no surcharge of $20 per billed hour].

That could be a one time savings of 25-30% [plus no sales tax on parts supplied - like another 7-8%] if members used some of the forums sponsors to get parts.

No warranty on your parts just that they will be installed correctly........if they fail it's up to you to pay replacement labor since the parts won't show on our computer. This will only apply at South Cobb Store. The problems occur when people don't supply everything we need to do the job.......but then they would just pay list for the unsupplied part..........plan carefully on the expensive items.

This could be a $300 discount on something like a combination evap and compressor/dryer change out. Obviously we cannot allow you to bring you own R12. [EPA rules and chance of contamination?]You must deal with your own core returns [trannies/racks/pumps] and place heavy items near the technican.

We cannot do this for engine replacements as the risks are just too great to provide a warranty without compensation when none is given to us when you supply.........everything else [in the Infiniti line no Lexus] is fair game as long is it is a new Infiniti part or common approved unit like JWT, Stillen, Tokico, Metal Master pads. Power Stop rotor, etc.

We reserve the right to determine if a part is unsuitable for use to try to save members from making a mistake -- wasted labor.

Christmas in May.

This offer is valid till a total of $10,000 in customer supplied parts are installed .........hopefully it won't happen in one month.....or the owners will kill me.

No excuses when you can now save 25-33 even 40% over dealer pricing.

I want to hire another tech but our volume won't support it now, there is a method to my madness.

My MBA at work.

A heck of a great deal! Thanks, Dennis!

If I still had either of my Q, I would drive to Atlanta from San Jose to take advantage of this offer.

Thanks, Dennis.

Dennis, that would have been a nice deal a month ago when I replaced my J30 suspension.

In any case, are you employed by T3 in any capacity? I didn't think you worked there.

When I was there getting my J30 worked on, Doug gave me the impression that you didn't work there.

I don't work for T3 per se, I work with T3 as a Marketing /Technical Consultant. Do I get paid cash not really, other than use of lifts and tools and the ability to pay techs a negotiated rate after hours. Parts at cost etc.We occasionally joint venture wrecked cars.

The whole purpose is to keep T3 in the Black so they are around and I don't have to use dealers for my Q and the intellectual challenge and exchange of info for FORUMS.

Keeps me out of bars.

Ahh man....I could have really used this offer about a month ago when I had the dealer install over $1,500 of parts alone and now the new transmission. Uggh!!!

Well I have got some good news for T3...bad new for me. My car is still acting up with the rpms dropping. Even with the new transmission and torque converter it is still acting up...so off to T3 this summer I go. At least I know that T3 will take good care of me either way.

Inet business has been so slow this year compared to a few years ago and even last year, we were debating about whether to continue our focus of trying to support forums -- as it is quite time consumming.

I decided to Spice things up a bit since the chain guide offer was so unspectacular in its response.

It will take another $15,000 per month gross to hire another tech and that SURE won't happen from out of towners.

The best year for Inet out of town business was just under $28,000 in an entire year.

So far only a set of 4 Tok/blue shocks, has taken us up on the offer.

Surely Thought more would come outta the woods.

Did another 1994 Active strip conversion today, we pulled everything [a gigantic pile] and replaced the pump [from one of our junkers and pullies [even the crank] and belts. $1500.

Active Parts are in the trash can waiting the junk man......first come first serve.......they'll probably pay us $20. We don't ship parts.

Billable hours you have to be more specific.

Plenum hoses $500 plus parts, add knock sensors another $70, plus parts.......if an active car/tcs car add $70 if fuel hoses add $70 plus parts.........parts could be $300 + $400+ $100......it varies by which hoses are broken.

You are better off buying a day or 2 of Byrons time at $1,000 per day and bring all your own parts........he can easily do 15 billable hours in a day.

But what you have listed [?] would be more than a days work more than 8AM- 6PM.......more like 2 days[ unclear what "new rubber+control arms, etc????" IS.............

Give Doug an exact list and let him quote you hours vs flat rate by the day ...........if it's less than 28 hours you pay by the hour if more [than 28] take the $2,000 for 2 days and I'll come and help to make sure you get out in 2 days.

That's a lot of parts [precise count of every plenum hose, knock sensors and harness , fuel hose, shocks suspension, bushings, tension rods, upper links?

Remember no tax on labor in Georgia.

MAY means MAY for the bring your own parts deal as business gets better in June [AC work etc.]. Plus vacations start and July August is always short handed.

T3 replaced all shocks / struts and tension rods. I also got a transmission cooler on that visit.
