It's not a bad turbo for a low boost application.

i have a t4 62-1 the spool time is laggy but its good for 500+ hp, im pretty sure the t3 will spool faster. should be good for around 400hp but the .48 a/r is tiny you would want the .60 a/r it will flow better up top and when you up the boost.

That would be a great dd turbo. Don't expect much more than 350ish with it with a solid tune but it'll spool quick and give a very driveable powerband for the ka. Also you may have slight fitment issues with the ts mani. but theres ways of getting around it just search for hockey puck motor mounts on nico. Get urself some 480's, walbro and afc, pull a few degrees of base and you'll have a strong running street car.

The turbo's are so different they are uncomparable...

The T3/60-1 will have no lag to speak of at all. But will probably lose efficiency at 14ish psi.

Are we talking about this one?? If so, it seems like it'd be very laggyhttp://cheapturbo.stores.yahoo.net/gat3w48ar.html

Well f*** me, I was thinking about this one...

The 60-1 compressor is bigger then the one I have...but it's still attached to a small .48 AR exhaust housing so the lag should be minimal. Note, with that small .48 AR the HP can't be rated simply on compressor flow because the exhaust housing will be a restriction.

Upon review of the specs given in the OP, it would have to be a super 60 and not a 60-1. The 60-1 does not come with a .48 AR compressor...lol. So we need to figure out exactly what turbo we're discussing

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the super 60. I've seen people make between 280-350ish whp with that turbo with boost between 15-20ish. Depending on supporting mods I'd say you should make a solid 300 with virtually no lag. Unless its the one wd has posted in the second pic and I wouldn't run that on a ka it'd be a dog in my book.

I had a pair of T22's machined for the 60mm wheels with 360 thrust bearings .. worked great plenty of power on the low end .. have both for sale one needs rebuild..

sounds like a good turbo for 250+whp. not sure what they max at, but you could probably get over 300whp easy

300ish is about its max before you just have a heat pump, it'll take between 17-20 psi to make that power, but the quick spool and response is what will really shine having that turbo on the ka. I'm not 100% but I think Markemark had one on his s14. Good price too, people are paying that or more for a used nonrebuilt t25 and t3 setups do have more potential.

I ran a super 60 for quite awhile at 12-16psi.. There was little lag, and didn't really seem to lose steam until about 6200rpms.. I loved the turbo. I never got any dyno time with it though.

Here's a video of my car when I ran the super 60 @ 10psi. open dumptube ftw. haha.

Thanks.. that might have only been 8psi since my gauge was off a little.. but it seemed to pull pretty hard.. I can't wait to get my new engine in
