well if your gonna go t28, go s15. your spending the money anyway, you mihgt as well just get the better of the two. And i dont think its exactly a DIRECT drop in. but i could be wrong. Also, if youre going to do it yourself, fyi, you have to take the Manifold/turbo/elbow off all at once. You cannot get the turbo off without doing that. Also, you might as well upgrade the to stainless lines if you have extra cash, will make it easier to reinstall. and looks sexier

forget S14 and S15 turbos... only good to 14psi (or just about) try and find a turbo from a GTI-R Pulsar SR20. I had one and wow was it fun! Its good to almost 320whp in the end i believe at 19psi does need slight modification to some brackets that involve welding though.

The S15 t28 is good to 320hp too. I havent done any research specifically into the GTI-R but its strange that I havent heard by now if Bluebirds had a different turbo... You sure Primera's dont have the same T28 per year as their S chassis counterparts?

Hm. A while ago I read that S14 t28's had the ceramic turbine and S15's were metal. Then someone with a big post count came on and said S14 and S15 turbos Both had a metal turbine.

so, whatever, i guess.

My S-14 T-28 has a metal wheel, so do the S-15 T-28. Some of the Skyline tubos used the ceramic and I remember hearing they fail alot.

it is not a direct drop in, unless you get the s14 compressor inlet and outlet elbows, otherwise youll have to cut and weld the s13 elbows.

s15 turbo has a metal wheel, the s14 and some skyline t28s use a ceramic wheel that is known for shattering at high boost levels. and the s15 turbo is good up to 320whp too phil.

Actually i just finished my t28 swap. People say clock the turbo but i didnt and it worked fine i just had to reroute the intake pipe for the turbo. And make sure that you get the oil return tube for the t28 b/c the t25 doesnt match up so well. It can work but i wouldnt risk it for 50 bucks. I got my oil lines from phase 2 but the water in line was retarted short so i had to order more ss hose and make a new line. Honestly Build ur own SS lines and save like 100 bucks. If you have any questions dont hesitate to drop me a line.

blew the t25 already? what the hell are you doing to that car man, a brand new turbo shouldnt do that, unless it wasnt rebuilt correctly, i dont think its the turbos that are ****ed up,maybe there is something more serious wrong, so far seems liek im the only one who got a decent motor from jazzpro... a brand new turbo shouldnt do that, unless it wasnt rebuilt correctly

compression and leakdown tests came out perfect. the motor is fine. THe turbo was rebuilt incorrectly i know what happened with the T28. Sucked something up. The wheel tells the tail on that. The T25 was doomed from the start. The wheel was freezing up in the turbine itself and it would break loose at about 4000rpm and spool like a mofo. shaftplay is 1-2 CM up and down on the T25. The guy said he would COMPLETELY rebuild it for free so im not concerned but i have parked the car to keep from possibly causing damage to the engine. I guess sometimes crap like that happens. I'm not pissed off or anything, Just a little frustrated. I actually have decided to start saving for an S15 turbo to modify as mark did.

I used stock oil and water lines for S15 T28 on my redtop it just takes some bending. Also you have either get the correct elbows or custom intercooler piping. I had a KAT before so my piping is custom anyways so I just rerouted a bit and it worked fine. Its not a direct bolt on but its close.

Will the stock 370cc(?) SR injectors be ok with the t28?

And if my ecu is chipped(no rev or speed limiter), will I need to do anything with the ecu?

you should be fine. I ran a T28 at 10psi for a few weeks on my Redtop. no problems at all.

check out superiornissanmotorsports.com.....they sell the s15 t28 upgrade and the compressor inlet/outlet pipes that you'll need for the swap....as well as all the gaskets. i'm planning on getting one of my own here in the next couple of months from there......total cost for all that is about 920 bucks or so

Those are both excellent and well sorted options.

Phase2 sells the T28 and inlet and outlet piping, taka lines, and all gaskets. They have everything needed to do the install. And everything to upgrade fuel system. I bought all my stuff from them, without any problems or parts issues ever.

alright morph, i plan on swapping my t25 to the t28. so is it really worth it? what abou the greddy turbos and hks and others? if the t28 is the way to go, how hard is it to replace it? what do i need in order to make it a reliable turbo like the t25? any replacement parts or does the oil line and water line on the stock red top work with the t28?

i know you can boost an S15 t28 to 17 or 18psi right before it's unsafe. My buddy runs his s14 t28 at 14psi daily with no issues.
