What is all required to swap a ball bearing t28 onto a redtop? Im about to buy one, but I dont want to end up over my head with the install. Is it something that I could do myself or should I get it professionally installed?

You take your T25 off, and put the T28 on.

In fact, aren't they even the same housings?

It bolts up, but you need to either bend the lines or get some stainless lines. Taka sells the stainless lines you would need.

the compressor housing is at a slightly difforent angle as well but shouldnt be any problem, another option is the FP Big28 which is bolt on completely but is not ball bearing.

That's exactly what I did, get the t-25 converted to big-28. I can't compare the big-28 with stock since my t-25 was damaged when I got the engine. However, the car pulls very very strong. I'm still running stock boost though. Don't know what kind of increased HP/torque that big-28 makes compared to t-25 at stock boost but it feels really strong.
