I know the technical differences between the two, but how can you tell them apart visually? I've found a few online that are listed as "T25/T28" and I want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks

You'd have to know the trims really. They are both so small that it's hard to tell unless you're talking about one of the GT series with a larger compressor. The only way I can usually tell is see them next to each other. If you're getting a non GT type, then either will be fine for low boost. I'd look for a T28 removed from a SR20 as your best option for the T2. Or the Holset HT25 would actually be my first choice if you can find one of those used. They supposedly outflow a Z31 T3. But I can't find any online in used form.

Thanks for the quick reply, I asked this cat for the specs on this turbo, don't know if he'll give me anything meaningful or not though. What would your verdict be on this one:

Well it's got water fittings so you know it's not a Chinese unit. Boost it until it won't boost anymore then back it off a few lbs...lol.

When I was living in Japan I had a R32 GTS-t, thats a Skyline in case you're totally retarded, with a stock T3 on it. I upped the boost to 20 psi, granted it would only put out that much for like 3700 rpm before it started to drop off, but it was fun. You have to be careful though, the air is super heated when you do that. I had a big FMIC and alcohol injection, so I wasn't worried. I was also running a MSD Knock Alert ftmfw

LOL yeah I know what a GTS-t is, rwd, single turbo RB25DET. I'd love to have an R32, my favorite body style out of all the skylines.

DOH....wrong.

The R32 GTS-t was a RB20. The RB25 was a R33 GTS-t. You could get the 2.5 in the R32, but only in NA form...and who wants a non turbo Skyline?
