1. Place in box.2. Mail to pro because you are going to have to have it balance it anyway.

****WARNING****

****GRAPHIC CONTENT****

Please be warned that the following post contains graphic photo's of "turbo Abuse".

I know...I know... It's not pretty but somebody has to try.

OK, Here's the story.

Some of you may recognize the sig about the kids 240SX. Well...we had a little trouble with the T28 and ended up changing it due to the turbo being trashed from something going through the exhaust. Totally trashed the "hot side" of the turbo. Impeller was still good. kept the turbo "just in case" we needed parts one day.

Well. we had a little bo-bo the other day and the bolt holding the filter to the MAF let go and trashed the turbo.

****WARNING****

It is amazing that the housing looked like it had no damage

So... swap the bad with the good

5/16 nut on end of shaft. Left hand thread. Remove old impeller by rotating through bolt and holding/pulling impeller with rag.

Old one comes right off.

replacement

Slide it on

Torque to ???? standard torque about???? at this point we are winging it so much, just lock-tite and and good 50 inch/lbs.

Assembled with old housing that matched the impeller.

Bottom line is... Ya I know... but it worked great. We drove around and everything was back to normal. He had a big date and we got him going.

Just understand that your turbo will be out of balance after doing this. I'm personally not a fan of out of balance things that spin over 100,000 rpm.

yeah you deff should of got that balanced esp after putting another t28 wheel on. If i were you. send it to gpopshop.com and have them balance the shaft with a new rebuild kit. the rebuild kit is like 100 and the balance is 65. so for under 200 you will have a near perfect condition t28.
