Kouki not necessarily meaning series 2 correct?C33LaurelRacer wrote:The early model R33 25 turbos are ceramic, the Kouki R33 turbos are steel.
Not sure. I was talking to a Japanese friend of mine, and told him of my plans in the future to using an RB25 turbo. He said to get a Kouki turbine as they are steel wheels.wawazat8402 wrote:

I'm pretty sure that is false. I have two RB25 turbos at home. One is a SI RB25, and the other is a SII R33 RB25. And they both have ceramic turbine wheels. Also, I don't think any turbo has ceramic compressor wheels. They made them ceramic to withstand the high heat of the exhaust. That's not necessary on the compressor side.C33LaurelRacer wrote:He said to get a Kouki turbine as they are steel wheels.
