I searched and couldnt find anything similar. I have a T25 that when it starts to spool it makes a grinding noise, when i first put the turbo on i checked for play and there was none, the first week it didnt make any unusual noise then i didnt drive it for a week and it started making the grinding noise. what should i do to check it?

thanks

ok i took the piping off and theres some oil in there but it looks like normaol blow back.

would it do scream like it does if there was an exhaust leak. i noticed that one nut is missing and another was loose(turbo to manifold)

is there shaft play now? do you have white smoke coming from your exhaust? and im not doubting you but are you 100% sure its the turbo making the noise?

I've had those bolts on the mani to turbo flange come off before. The sound they make is best described as a duck. It's the exhaust gasses blowing over the gasket.

There could have been a stoppage in the oil feed to the turbo. Pull the oil outlet hose off the bottom of it and see if any oil has come through it.
