my friend has a 1996 gs-t n he just upgraded his turbo to a 16G? i think thats what its called, so he has a t25 that i can get for free.

my question is: is the t25 off of a gs-t the same as the t-25 off the sr20det?

if different, what are the differences?

I'm not sure, even if DSM's have small small turbos those that are not even the same size as our T25's they can boost as high as 19 to 20 psi or they want to boost that high. I don't know maybe I'm missing something or the owners just don't know what the heck they are doing because our turbos reaches it's max effectiveness around 16 psi. Hmmm... imagine if an SR is running 20 psi.... man that would haul.

tehy do run 20 just not on the stock t-25 however if you have a notchtop ive seen them running at 20-21psi. i cant imagine it being the most healthy psi level but its possible. and DSM stocks turbos WILL not boost that high. A guy in my area has a DSM that is one of the fastest cars ive ever seen and he blew his stock DSM turbo at 16.5psi

If you are thinking KA-T ... then that turbo is WAY too small.

well ill be able to get that turbo for free ... and im not looking for crazy amounts of hp .. only like 250whp and i thought it would be ok for me to use the t25 around that hp lvl

Dont bother with it. Seriously, it might work on your lawnmower a littler better than your KA. That turbo has no love unless your running a tiny motor.
