Back when i had the bald Dunlop's,I could not hookup in 1st or 2nd.The RPM's would just fly up to 7G.And the car would just roll

I remember being on yokohama avid h4's (although were on their way to being replaced) and i'd have traction throughtout all of first gear (slipped clutch from a stop) but i remember breaking the tires loose at the top of first gear. stock boost

stock boost, stock i/c, stock turbo, no VLSD and if i street start and hammer it at 1500rpm i can keep traction all the way through first as long as the road is pretty much billiard table smooth. anything else and i get mad wheel hop. oh yeah this is also 100% stock 17-year-old suspension as well. and it dyno'd 188whp before i got it quite running right. haven't done it since b/c i'm scared i actually lost power now that it runs right.

oh yeah and if i slip the clutch a little i can get smoke easily at any rpm in first gear. haven't tried second. but first and second are also useless when the road is wet at all. third is good though as long as i don't run over any big bumps or potholes or something.

I cannot hook up in first if i hammer it say from 4000 and above. I get pure wheel spin and the rpm's just fly up like crazy. This is with my 235/45/17 continental conti sports (almost bald). Im running 14psi aswell.

I could break traction at 10lbs with sidemount and crap tires, I got some fuzion zri's and a front mount at the same time and I still spin less sometimes at the top of first or low in second but not very often with the new rubber.

dammit you guys are making me want more boost before i get my suspension done. damn you! i NEED to get that stuff done so i can stop wheel hopping everywhere and actually keep up with stock honda civics and ford foci (haha) around corners. right now it's just scary, and this comes from somebody who owned a car capable of 1.0g on the skidpad without R-compound tires (they were pretty sticky though).

with stock boost and turbo and an open diff there is no way i'll get traction if i push it in 1st , i'll hook half way thru 2nd, but this is only when i dump the clutch, if u slip the clutch then its different
