So I've searched a while, and from what I gather, besides the fact that "use the %&$#@!) search!" is an all too commonly used phrase on this site, is that if you want to use an SR20 T25 with your KA-T build, its going to require some fabrication for oil lines. Surely theres a bunch of guys who have done this, so what is the easiest way to do it? Buy a set of oil lines for a T3/T4 and change the fittings? Advice? Part numbers? Also, do most people just not hook anything up to the stock water fittings on the T25? Haven't heard it mentioned much except for one thread buried in a sticky at the top of this forum, but even that made it sound like it wasn't a very common thing to do. Which leads me to assume that the T25 will work just fine without being water cooled, is this correct? Thanks for your help.

first off, buy oil lines for a t25 and bam! problem solved. JGS sells a good set with everything you need. and second, most people dont run water lines to a t25 because its such a small, inexpensive turbo that the dont go through all the trouble, i have heard if you just let your car cool down good after hard driving you will be just fine. so no, you dont NEED them, but if you have the time, its a good idea to fab something up, its not hard and there is a write up on here for it.

Thanks, I had read another thread somewhere that had given me the idea that SR20 lines were the only ones available for the T25 and that they wouldn't work on a KA. And I did actually find that write up about running water lines to the turbo, looks interesting. Thanks again

My view on the water lines is that it was a stock turbo on a car. So the people driving it just would turn it off when they parked. The water lines would keep it cooler so it wouldn't burn oil.

So if I'm right then running a turbo timer would be equal to the water lines. But running both would be better since you can.

Yeah they would have about the same effect I would think, except that the water stops flowing when the engine is shut off, so running a turbo timer would probably be more effective anyway, even without water lines hooked up.

Yea, when I do mine I'm just going to get everything going then do the water lines later as a little project.

You definitly don't NEED water lines, but they are so simple to run and install it's retarded not to. The rubber line is what...7 bucks at Ace hardware? Scrounge for some fittings and you're done. It's really not as hard as people make it sound.

For the coolant lines just find some stock sr20det coolant lines with the banjo bolts. Cut One line in half bend them to fit and run 5/16 hose to and from throttle body.Make sure to use the correct crush washers between the banjo bolts. Not hard at all to do and really inexpensive.
