Sup guys...i searched under fwd t25 before making this thread, so spare the flame....i have the option to buy a t25 off a fwd sr20, a pulsar..for $100 to start my ka-t build...so i'm wondering if it'd be a problem if i were to use a fwd t25 on my ka24de? thanks

A turbo is a turbo, regardless of drivetrain and engine difference. That t25 would be fine, small, but fine.

Just make sure it spins freely and doesnt have any shaft play before you buy it.

Sure, you might have to 'reclock' the turbo. Iv never heard of that seal being roached by rotating the compressor housing, but he might be right. Hes right about POSSIBLY having to move the wastegate around, it depends on where the compressor outlet sits. Hes also right about it not being a great deal.. Hes right about being able to get a stock t25 off a SR for that price. However, the turbo would still work.

If you want good advice, save an extra few hundred bucks and get a t3 sized turbo. Buy one used from nico, ebay, or whatever. You can also get a SSAC manifold for dirt cheap, and they are sized t3/t4. Before you put the manifold on the car, you should get it reinforced however. I give this advice because your trying to stay cheap, and if your trying to do so this is your best rout.

You will never regret waiting till you have some more cash and doing your car right. You will regret cheaping out only to have things fail left and right on you in the long run.

I wanted a turbod car so bad since i was 13. Now that im a bit older, wiser, and have a real job, my car came together right because i waited, saved, and learned. Haste makes waist man, and when your talking cars, waist gets damned expensive.

thanks alot for the wise words bro...as ironic as it is today i found myself a nice turbo designs tubular manifold for 200 bux which is fitted for a t3/t4...so since im getting such a steal on this mani i'm gonna send it out to a welder n have the spot weld it for reinforcement for 80 bucks and im gonna save the extra hundred or 2 for a t3/t4.....i can't wait, always wanted a turbo car, hence my username/ license plates "turbo dreams"
