I just had my t25 rebuilt and had it bored to about 1/2" larger on intake side. I have a blitz electric boost controller but when I turn it all the way up the most boost I can make is 12 psi. So can I put a inline controller to set it at say 12psi all the time and then go up from there with my blitz controller? Or will I have to replace the wastegate?

Not a fan of Electronic controllers. If I was you id sell it and get a hallmen manual controller.

well.. first off to answer your question yes.. u could get an adjustable wastegate actuator and set it to 12lbs.. not sure if the HKS actuator can be adjusted that high.. you'll have to research it.

But.. my main concern is.. if your car can not boost to 12psi with a ebc then u either have a boost leak, messed up EBC, or something funky happened to the turbo..

I would suspect a boost leak.

Thats what I thought at first, I checked all the pipes and everything looks good, I've heard that you can tune your ecu for boost up also I have a eprom but I didnt really change anything besides Kvalue and made the ecu recognize a rb20 maf and 555 injectors. I am trying to find a boost up bin file that uses the rb20 maf but cant seem to get one anywhere But I remember I only got 11 out of it before I put the gt28rs on it and as soon as I put the gt on it boosted 18 no prob so I'm pretty sure its the stock wastegate resticting it....

14 psi no problem with stock actuator. HKS actuator is set for 12 psi and can be adjusted for higher boost if you want.

i ran 14 PSI off my HKS unit, but i didn't like running that close to its thresh-hold, so i backed the unit down to 12 for the time being.

which blitz ebc do u have? i adjusted my blitz controller and went a lil past 12 by mistake. had to turn it down a lil. 14 is very possible on stock wg BUT i hear that it wont hold in higher rpms

if you really want to be cool just dont hook up a vac to the wastegate....

i have a halman mbc and it allows me to boost wherever i want. ive had it set anywhere from 8psi all teh way up to 18psi (accidental)

Three words for u MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER easier to work with and more reliable imo

well i wouldn't go gangsta but you can always get a package of multiple sized t vacuum fittings and put them in the wastegate line till you show a good boost psi and then adjust with the ebc... wouldn't be a permasolution though...

yea, ill stick with my AVCR

however, i would look into the changes you made to your turboa half inch on the turbo is a Quarter of an inch on each side. That is quite a bit of metal to take out that is vital to helping to create boost. I personally, think that was a mistake, and could be directly contributing to your problem.....But thats me. Im prolly wrong. but turbo design, says yoiu shouldnt have dont it.
