one of the reasons i failed inspection was because the guy said there was a leak at the middle bolt and at those two gaskets that join the plastic resevoir. someone said to replace the master cylinder, but there's got to be a way to just tighten the plastic part down right?

and about the bolt, can i just tighten the bolt? or should i put some plumbers tape on it. but if i unscrew it to tape it i'll need to bleed all the fluid out first right?

thanks

Generally, if your master cylinder is leaking through the gaskets, its time for a new one. What you might be able to do to get by inspection is take some carb cleaner or brake cleaner and clean the area where it has been leaking. Get rid of any signs of leaking. You should be able to put a 12mm wrench on the brake line and tighten it, although it should never have come loose in the first place. Good luck.
