t/o bearing whinning?

hey guys its been a while and i forgot my user id and question and all that oh well time to start over. on to the question, i replace my clutch a few months ago and now when the clutch pedal is out the t/o bearing whines and spins, when you press the clutch it whines down and is quite, is it going bad, and need to be replace again it annoying noise about like the timing chains but got that fixed thanks

How old is the throwout bearing? The only reason I can think it would be whining is maybe it needs to be greased. T/O bearing is an easy and cheap fix, its just a pain in the a** to drop the transmission.

its less than a year old and was new when it went in with the clutch

my transmission does the same thing... and i changed out the throwout bearing twice actually cause i went through 2 clutches... but anyway... it's the output bearing inside the transmission

so the transmission needs replaced or can i just do the bearing? or will it be ok just annoying?

I'm about 99% your problem is the transmission bearings and not the throwout bearings.

It'll be alright for a little while, but I'd replace the trans as soon as convienent.

Dont mean to steal your post but Im actually having a problem just like this. Every now and then when I disengage clutch it whines but will never whine when the clutch is engaged. It does it mostly when coming to a stop and I push the clutch in early instead of holding a gear until I stop. I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing in June of last year with the exedy kit. This is a very annoying problem as well. Any ideas?

like now i got a new problem, when im sitting still there is a sound like the throwout bearing is spinning when the pedal is up but when i press the clutch in it whines down and quiets down, it that the t/o bearing??
