the past few days i have been fighting with the fitting to stay in place. every-time i pop my hood it is almost ready to fall out. it has completely come out before. i have just pushed it back in place. i was thinking it could be blowby. my car doesnt smoke at all or act any different than normal. my AFR's are sort of normal. under boost they are at 11.8 like normal but coming back down to idle it will go to 14-15 then jump to 16.5 then back to the normal 14.7-15.2 at idle. just for that split second. and i noticed at idle my vacuum will be at 19-20 instead of 18-19. maybe im just paranoid about all of this. but why is that fitting not staying in place? how far should it be pushed in? should i tap it in with a hammer? im going to pull off my valve cover tomorrow to check everything out and remove my timing chain guide (ive been lazy and have a reason to do it now haha). thanks guys

when the car is idling cold and you take off the oil cap, is there a ton of blow-by? and when the motor is at operating temp is there less blow-by?

I seen that "t" also falling out sometimes because it just doesnt have that "press" fitment anymore. If there was too much blow-by I would imagine your dipstick to blow out also.

ill check tomorrow with the oil cap. my dipstick does not pop out at all. im going to try a new PCV valve also, it almost seems as though the head is building up a little too much pressure. but not the bottom end. sometimes on a cold start after sitting over night ill have lifter tick for a split second also

On my ka mine wasnt in there super good so i pulled it out and put thread locker on it and pushed it in as hard as i could and i think i also tapped it in with a hammer and a block of wood. It didnt fall out ever. Good luck though worse case scenario get it welded in place.
