I cant get the old bushings out!!!!! wouldnt come out with vise and pipes. I also brought it to five different places- all said they either cant do it, need to burn the old rubber out and cut the bushing housing- which they dont do, charge a ridiculous amount to do it- like 85 bucks, they are the wrong bushings and wont fit, or that I need to buy bushings that are already installed in the t/c rod. any tips?! anyone want them? :help

I'm not suggesting you do this, because it's easy to get broken bits in your eyes. I've used a drill to drill the old bushing out. Then you can use a dremel to remove the center ring and then put the new bushings in.

A press would simplify this a lot.

using a hydraulic press... press out the old bushing from the center while supporting the outer ring of the housing then lube up the new bushing and again using the hydraulic press, press in the lubed up bushing... then you done...

if you would like i am selling a pair of OEM tension rods with the bushing already pressed in... it is in the buy/sell/trade section
