I know the B&M T-bar shifters are quite popular among jeep and domestic crowds, has anyone used them on a Nissan?? I have considered using one of htese on my S13 for a long time, and Summit has them for darn cheap. Can anyone think of a reason why this wouldn't work/wouldn't be good for our cars???

I can't use it because it's for the right hand and I shift with the left.

Right, instead of a vertical grip on the shifter you use a horizontal grip. I've used it on a jeep and a buddies' Rustang and it felt great, kind of worried about clearance issues with our e-brake though, cmon, SOMEONE has to have tried this.

I like having my hand flat, as opposed to vertical. It seemed extraordinarily comfortable on every domestic or SUV type vehicle I've driven, a good buddy of mine has one on his Z28 and I liked it alot better than the previous ball-shifter. Ugly is subjective in 99% of all cases, B&M makes one in flat black that I rather prefer, maybe I'll give it a shot after all..........

T-grip shifters are the only way to go! A nice Hurst T-grip with the brake lock, and you're set for some hi-rev hole shots on the strip!

T shifters i think would be comfortable, but there is something i love about being able to grab the shifter verticaly. just feels better or something. i can see how a T bar would feel great though. i've never driven with one though

I think no one has used them because in the cars they are most popular on the shifter gates are so far apart. For some reason I think the horizontal feel of a T shifter would make it easier to miss gears. Eh, I'll go buy one, put it on, and write a review......

My friend has one on his 12 second Z31. He likes it I guess. Not something I would rock.

I kinda thought faux Hurst T shift knobs went out of style years ago, along with beer tap shift knobs, and chrome bare foot gas pedals. Are they making a comeback? Hmmmm.

T-shifters are still quite popular, but as I said, mostly with truck, jeep, and domestic crowds. The main reason I would do it is because I don't like such a high knob, and when I use a lower one I can never get a good grip for it. I think a T-shifter would sit at just the right height. B&M makes them in flat black, chrome, billet aluminum, and a "hammerhead" style in steel.

What about putting that handle on is rice?? It's a flat black shifter, not some gigantic chrome ball or something. I'm the most anti-rice person around and I don't consider this remotely so.......
