Well, the T-2small is leaking some oil, and I unfortunately don't have enough money for an official upgrade. I'm currently looking for a rebuild kit. I found one on eBay for around 40 bucks, but if I don't win that one, I'll need to start looking at shops that sell them. If possible, it would be nice to stay in the 90-110 dollar range. There is a Garrett distro in the area, but they're being a$$ about ordering the kit before looking at the turbo (which costs money for them to inspect it first). If I take the cartridge and the rebuild kit to them, they usually don't make a fuss, that's why I'm kind of upset I got the runaround from them over ordering the kit.

I know there's a guy on ebay who's an authorized garrett dealer and has those rebuild kits. forgot his user name though, but he should have at least some t25 kits up there. if those guys are being pricks, I'd say eff em and get it from the ebay dude. lots of people say ebay's risky and crap but that's if you get it from a guy with like 5 feedback or 75% feedback or lower or something. that guy's got pretty good feedback if I remember just search for garrett turbo or something

i've heard quite the opposite. besides, you replace every critical seal, bearing, and washer within the cartridge. Only the wheels, the rod, and the housing carry over.

let us know how the rebuild kit goes. Are you attempting it or you going to have it done?
