I've recently changed my oil to Mobile 1 synthetic... I was just wondering when the next time I should change my oil since i switched to synthetic. I've read other forums and people say 4 thousand, 5 thousand, etc. What do some of you guys think...

I have a 96 Honda Passport with 177,000 miles on it. I use Penzoil full synthetic and chage mine every 3000 mi. That is probably overkill, but I have never had engine problems. I plan on switching to full synthetic in my coupe at 1000 mi and change it every 3000.

Synthetic can be anywhere from 4,000 to 7,500 depending on the quality and brand of the oil, as well as how you drive your car.

Personally, I wouldn't go more than 3,000-3,500 miles without an oil change.

Mineral or synthetic, I change mine every 4000. That's about every 3 months for me.

I changed mine every 10k in my bmw. It never hurt anything and the dealership told me i was changing it to early, to run it to 15k! I dunno tho full synthetic in german cars shouldnt be any different that japanese.
