For me that's not a problem. I just turned 1200 miles today.NSRsheets wrote:Agreed. If you have a lot of miles on your car and you have been useing normal oil don't switch to synthetic. If you do there's a chance it will clean out the oil build up in certain areas and lots of things could start leaking.

The engine feels "looser", using the synthetic over the conventional oil. You can feel the lubrication difference it's that different...
synthetic FOREVER!
(just my $0.02) WELL SAID, 5w30 too.
Even with synthetics, change your oil and filter at 3000-5000 mile intervals. The oil has not broke down yet but gets dirty just from normal operation. Look at your dip stick with just 3000 miles and see the color difference. Its the cheapest insurance for longevity and protection to your motor.IndyZed wrote:This is amazing. This makes three people now who say they notice a difference. I'm going to wait till I'm near 3,000 miles then I'm going to switch.
Do you guys still change oil every 3 months/3,000 miles when using synthetic or do you stretch your intervals?
I use Royal Purple in my RX-8's 6-sp transmission. Made a difference. For some reason when I'd get on it and try shifting from first to second, second would lock me out. I put in Royal Purple and the problem basically disappeared.normaltype wrote:anyone tried synth in the transmission?
