Synthetic oil 10W-30

Synthetic oil 10W-30
I bought 10W-30 Mobule 1 synthetic oil at Costco yesterday. It is the only one Costco has at that time. 5W-30 is owner's manual recommended. I wonder if 10W-30 is close enough to use. Some online reading tells me ok to use if my area is not very cold. I am in California so it is not cold.

yes, in warm climates 10w-30 is fine to use.

Thanks patqx4. Just wanted hear more opinions. Further more, I don't think costco sells something not appropriate so nobody buys.

10W-30 and 10W-40 are acceptable for use where ambient temperatures are above -18C (0 F).
