Would it be ok to use synthetic blend oil during the break in period on a new engine? Winter is right around the corner and was wondering if I should wait longer or could use it right away. I had the engine replaced due to oil consumption and I'm running castrol gtx right now. I normally use Mobil 1 on all my vehicles but I'm gonna wait till I put about 5k miles on it before switching over. So far only 400 miles on the new engine.
