synchronizing tiptronic?

okay so i'm driving with a friend the other day and he asks me if i've synchronized the tiptronic gearing yet, and i said "uhh, what?"

what is he talking about?

Does that mean send in your gearbox shifting thingy to greddy and get it modified to shift faster?

nah he was saying i could do it myself, but it is supposed to help shift faster from what he was saying...i didn't know that was possible. can anyone verify this"?

making shifting faster, you open up your transmission's computer inside the transmission and update the software like you would your ECU...

I really dont know what he means if its different from ^^
