I've been on a roll with questions here lately, but hey I want my 240 prestine by the end of the summer. Anyhow for a little while now I've noticed from stop the car slightly jerks..(0-15mph) It's fine after the slight jerk from stops, I was thinking perhaps a bad TPS? My transmission fluid is topped off and appears fresh. Engine is in great shape, recently changed distributor cap/rotor,fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter is substituted with an intake which is clean and oil changes every 3 months. I baby my car mind you. Let me add that it is an automatic. Has anyone experienced this problem before? It's sort of annoying and would like to have it fixed. I doubt it's the transmission, as I said it shifts smoothly after the slight jerk from stops (0-15mph) Any feedback appreciated!

A bad tps will definitely cause an automatic to jerk. The one in my daughters car was so bad the 1st to second shift would give you whiplash! After a new tps it shifts very smoothly and at exactly the right places and moves much quicker. i got a new one at advanced for $42.
