Okay so I have a s14 sr20det in my s13. I got it a couple weeks ago. Sence I got it I have been fixing a lot of problems with it. But I cannot figure this problem out.... it idles funny and dies sometimes... but when driving it will drive fine untill at idle at stoplight then it idles low again.... and say I am on the freeway going 60 mph... I drop it into 4th and it will accellerate at the same rate that if I was to put the pedal to the floor on 5th gear... it just seems to not have near as much power as its supposes to have and I think this might be getting bad gas milage as well..... I will see what milage I get next time I fill the tank... but whether I put half throttle down or full throttle in just about any gear feels the exact same so I am wondering if that is a symptom of a bad fpr? Or if any of you sr guys out there might have an idea let me know! It would be much apritiated

Start by checking your fuel pressure, check your codes, and from what it sounds like, clean the maf.

I have cleaned the maf. What do u mean by check codes and how??

Its been a while since I've messed around with an s14 but I know you have to jumper 2 wires at the consult port. When you do that, the check engine light will start to flash your trouble codes.

And that is if you have the check engine light and consult wired up in your s13. (my s13 doesn't even have a check engine spot on the cluster but ther are plenty extra spots to wire one)
