I just replaced both rear heater hoses because one had blown wide open and overheated the car. When i added coolant and cranked the engine with the radiator cap off, coolant shot 5 feet into the air. I would assume that this is a blown head gasket, right?

If so, does anyone know where i can pick up a metal head gasket for the KA24E?

was the car cooled down when it did that? if so I would say your head gasket is likely blown as well.

Yes, i overheated sometime last week, but the temp gauge never went up. Pulled into the driveway to have it stall out on me and then steam come from under the hood, thats when i realised i had a problem. Finally had time today to replace the heater hoses, which i was hoping was the only problem. Apparently not.

So anyway, do you know of anyone who sells metal head gaskets for the SOHC? I *REALLY* dont want to have to do this every year or so. MY KA24E has 10.5:1 custom forged JE pistons, and this will be the second head gasket i have replaced in a year and a half since the rebuild. First one was crappy paper from the rebuild kit and lasted about 3 days, second one was genuine Nissan OE gasket and has lasted till now.
