Car: 1990 Nissan 240sx Sr20 swapped

I had a buddy with a forge wastegate laying around and he gave it to me to use..having problems and reached down and can pull the rod open with barely any.force suppose to be a 19 pound spring inside of it also..won't boost over 5 pounds..would u say that the spring is crushed maybe

I would definitely say you need a new spring...
