I'm looking at getting a S-13, and when looking at the 240sx 'vert and was thinking about a SX style tailight conversion, has this been done before, and if so about how much work and money would it take? I don't make much money, so I need to know if it is realistic for someone with my budget.

No. Seriously, I've never heard of SX style. Hatch, coupe and vert are all 240'SX', so I have no idea what SX style means...

except for those on the coupe and vert.Oh, and except for those on the kouki 180sx's. Oh, and except those on the S14 200sx and 240sx.

think about it there are alot of different 240sx taillights. Yes you can do it, its just like any other taillight. Lots of cutting and bondo.

I wasn't talking about the s-14, and if I'm correct the kouki 180sx lights use the same mounts as the chukis, if you read carefully you'd have know that, so stop trying to look like cool, because right now you're proving your position as an ***

Lots of work.

The entire rear end of a hatch and a coupe are different.

THe lights are positioned differently, the trim is different, the bumper is shaped different...

It'd be a BIG job.

I don't think this constitues as answering my question, and I had explained exactly what I was talking about in my previous post, so don't try to turn your Bull**** behavour on me.

also, yeah I was looking at the fronts, I figured that the bumper could be swapped out for a hatchbumper and the trunk could be cut down to size, but i have no idea about how the tail-lgihts would sit since i don't have any real models, this whole idea came about with just the fact that I've been finding the 'verts for sale a LOT more and have been on sale for longer, so I was thinking of anything i could do to one to make it stick out, since it's what i will most likely getm

you will get your taillights installed a lot faster if you go to autozone and get a gallon of bondo instead of wasting time being acting like an immature kid on internet message boards.

I think this is probably one of those mods where I'd say, if you have to ask if they will fit, then the answer for you is no, they won't.

If you had the skills/exptertise to make them fit you wouldn't ask that question.

A waste of time and money imo. All that can be put to use in other areas of the car, such as performance.

Tarnag.

Welcome to NICO! Thanks for joining us.

The answer to your question is a simple NO. They won't work without rediculous modification that will probably cost more money and time than the entire car is worth.

Also, in the future, please try to refrain from insulting other members... even if there responses weren't quite what you were hoping to hear.

I live in new england where any car that's over 5 years old has 90% of it's undercarriage covered in rust, I'll save the performance mods for when I get a car from outside of the northern aera, since any car in that condition will not be very stiff, especially when it's a 'vert, also from what people are saying it'd be what? about $500? that's what a catback? pair of strut bars? it's really not that much when compared to the cost of a lot pof performance mods, but I see what you mean.

I guess i was hoping there was a shortcut, and sorry about my behavior

You are better off with R32 tail lights. I couldn't find a picture(r32 lights on s13 coupe) at the moment, but They look better and much easier to install than 180SX Kouki tail lights.
