Switching from D to M

Hi,

Tonight, when I was back home I touch my paddle shift - and see that my computer show me M and 6.

So my question is, it's normal that when my shifter is at D, when we toutch paddle shift, the car goes in manual mode? I tought that the paddle work only when you put it like at drive, but on the left, so under de - and + of the shifter.

If it's normal, how I can come back to the D without moving my shifter on the left and right after?

It is normalwhen you are in D, if you push the paddle shift, it will change to manual shifting mode for a period of time(I don't remember for how long)You can change it back either by waiting until it change back automatically or holding the paddle shift for like 3 seconds

you can also change it back by using the shifter and switching from auto to manual and back to auto-shift again. just a bump to the left and right again. (hmmm rocky horror flashback)

Finally, it takes 5 seconds to witch back to D and if you don't want to wait...2 seconds on paddle shift.

Yup -- otherwise it would be a real hassle to downshift (very handy for passing) on the fly.

I tought that the paddle work only when you put it like at drive, but on the left, so under de - and + of the shifter.

That's if you want to use the shifter to change gears. Or if you want it to say in gear when you use the paddles.
