I have a 1992 240sx with hicas 4 ws, the ball joints in the control arm for the outer tie rods are starting to wear out, I could not find a replacement ball joint and the control arms I dont even wanna know what nissan wants for them lol so I decided to switch to regular suspension and I drift it a lot so this should be better for that. So I have a regular front rack and pinion and a regular rear suspension and all for a 240sx, now im just gonna cut the lines in the front and back for the 4ws hydraulic lines, and ill unplug the wire going to the 4ws solenoid, so my question is will it bring a code or cause any problems when I switch to this or is there any problems i might run into? also if anyone is interested in the 4ws parts front rack which leaks a little, rear rack, any solenoid or sensor for 4ws, tie rods which are new inner, just let me know and we can figure out a price.

that will work but you will also need to block the extra ports on the steering pump and reservoir. Also i would keep the front steering rack as it is a quicker ratio and will provide a smaller turning circle.

The front rack lines go to the pump and reservoir, it is not connected to the hoses that connect the hicas system.

Your going to want to ditch the rear rack and go with a lock bar or a standard subframe, she can still move and the rubber bushings will flex too. I am doing this to the R33 by using a S14 subframe
