switching cassette deck to cd player

can someone tell me how to remove the cassette deck from my 93 maxima se. i can find a way to take it away from the dash

Here's an old writeup I made on how to pull the gauge cluster. The first steps show how to get to the radio. There's a chance it may be different for the 92-94 as I was told there was a difference (mine was a 91). This should give you a good idea of how to do it.

1. If auto, pull parking brake and put into first gear by pressing the little shifter release button in front of the shifter. If manual, put parking brake on and put into 2, 4, or reverse for extra clearance.



2. Remove the ash tray.

3. Remove the 4 screws that are in the radio console area.









4. Remove the wiring harness off of the emergency flasher button.



5. Pull the panel down enough where you can remove the power outlet wires and (for autos) remove the harnesses off of the shift control switch.



6. Unscrew the four screws (two on each side) to pull out the radio.
