Anyone got any ideas on doing this? Or, if this is tricky, how can i figure out how to tap my internal coil? I am installing a Megasquirt unit and my only hangup is the internal coil on an s14. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

it's just with the wiring and the plugs. chop the s14's plugs to mate up with the dist and do a match the wires to the wires from your s13's harness.

Is their any gains by doing this and would it be the same for the 95?

Well there is two plugs on the distributor for a 95, one with 2 prongs and one with 6. Im just gona have to spend some time with the FSM and a test light to figure out which is the coil i guess.

No as far as iv heard the internal coil on the s14 is fine till well over 300 HP so i wouldnt bother upgrading if i were you.

The 95-98 are the same at the distributor.

A follow-up question, i would think that i could just swap to a s13 distributor for the MS system, anyone see any problems with doing so? The s13 distributor still has the CAS sensor inside it correct?
