I just bought a used 2009 Rogue S AWD Canadian version that was moved down to Texas.
I spent less than three days having to read my speed in KPH before I searched out eBay for a used American one that was exactly like my current one. Found one that was within 2,000 miles of current kilometer one and without drive computer as I didn't have that currently.
Postman delivered it, I installed it and was wonderfully surprised to find out the unit works, but now read -22f as temperature and says "icy" where I didn't have those readout before. Annoying...
So I checked the support bar in front of the radiator and I could see a wire harness connector taped up.
ordered a Nissan air temp sensor, but I was thinking I needed to remove the bumper to install it.
I was very happy to find out I could reach my hands through the front of the bumper and plug it in without removing anything. Turned the ignition on and after a worrisome 2 secs later, boom display showed 84 degrees (9am in Texas so that's about right)
Notes about pulling cluster out as I could not find much detail online for the novice diy.
First I pulled two red fuses out, one was middle on bottom row, other was up and to the right one. Check labels on the cover to make sure you get the right ones.
The top lid has a small tab on each side so do not just try to pull it off straight towards the steering wheel. Lift it up 1/4 inch then back and it pops right off easily.
Plastic cover around the ignition switch is difficult to pop apart gently. Once you have removed the three screws from the bottom just work on the seam gently and you will get it apart.
Cluster pulls easily out once you take the two screws on the bottom of, no tools or prying needed, just grasped the dial faces and a tug is all it took..
Plug on back cluster was a challenge for my fat fingers to push in hard enough, I used a small flat screwdriver to push the tab down and it popped apart easily.
I might just take apart my old cluster now and see how easily I could disable the headlights on indicator, seriously surprised Nissan didn't make it blink to make it ever more distracting while your driving at night..
