Hey there!
Just bought a used 2003 Infiniti QX4 yesterday and have already fallen in love with the car.
Did a routine clean-up, and proceeded removing my hard-wired Passport Escort from my old vehicle to transfer it to the new one. Nicely set up the wire that goes to the radar detector (below rear view mirror) so that the little control unit with the power and ground connectors coming out right below the steering wheel (left of center console). Connecting the ground was a breeze, but now I am having difficulties finding a switched circuit for power input (one that only supplies juice when the car is started). Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am sure there is one in the vicinity...
Thanks in advance y'all!

PS: Here is the hard-wire kit I am talking about:

Can't you tap into the info center / temp and compass display wiring that is in the middle near top of windshield?

I could, but since the little control unit (to mute radar) is placed close to the steering wheel, the cords won't reach :(.

Haha, problem solved! Managed to route the wires to the center console (that holds radio etc.) and splice the wire leading to the cig-lighter/aux output! Happy camper now :)
