ok, i hear alot of people with CA's talk about lifter chatter, i rebuilt mine, and even had someone look over my lifters, but yet they still make a hole lot of noise.

Now, is it dangerous to the motor in anyway if there is excessive chatter from the lifters?

And is it worth upgrading to solid lifters? I have tomei cams, stock lifters, valves and springs. The cam is 256 8.5mm lift mild poncam.

I will be beating the hell out of this car in October, i'm hoping to run it in the redline time attack at VIR.

For that lift, solid lifters wont do anything for you. If your thinking of spending that money on solid lifters, also factor in a variety of shims to get desired clearances as well, then PROCAMS, then turbo to make use of those cams. Just buy new OE lifters for ca18de. I did and my valvetrain sounds sweet.
