I was bored yesterday and thought of an idea.
Switch the lows from H11 to 9006 to give me highs and lows in the main reflector.
Use the high beam as driving lights (separate switch) while driving through the mountains, this way I don't have to put any lights under the fender.

I would only use the highs while moving to avoid excess heat.
I have a feeling the beam would change with the bulb swap, anyone guess what it would look like?
I would need an H11 to 9006 adapter but what would I need to do to fit the the 9006 into the light housing?

Firstly, the 9006 is a single filament bulb. I presume you want a dual filament bulb like the 9007?

The optics of the stock headlamp are designed for a single filament bulb. A true hi/lo reflector actually takes advantage of the different filament placement (hi vs lo) and not just the increased light output to produce high beams. IMHO putting a dual filament bulb in the stock reflector may result in unpredictable results.

As for the base/locking mechanism, I have no idea if it's even possible to modify the 9006/9007 base to fit in place of an H11. The base is completely different:

9007:

And a single filament 9006:

FYI: Here are all the possible bulb configurations.
