switch placement

:ylsuper got a switch for my electric fan i'm goin to instal it tomorrow i was just wondering where would you guys put the switch? don't realy want to cut anything out where visible incase i mess up. what about the center console would that be cool?:spam

why not wire it up so it runs all the time? that's how I had it on my CA, worked fine. Plus you won't forget to turn it off or on.

don't want it to run down the battery plus i think the switch will look cool

how would it run down the battery? you turn in the key the fans kick on.

i don't know how to wire it to do that i'm not exactly the best with cars. i'm just learning

how about you rig it up to where the fan turns on when you turn the key and just have a few fake switches and stuff in teh car.

cuz you never wanna forget to flip that switch on while the car's running

my car already runs without this fan all the time. i just want to be able to cut it on when the car starts to get hot.

i've got this same setup, though i'm changing it.

i used the cigarette lighter hole. take the lighter out, get two washers that will fit over the switch shaft, but are large enough to hold the switch on when it's in the hole. sandwich the trim panel between the two washers and screw the switch down. looks pretty l33t.

i wired it up just a minute ago works great. i put the switch where the ashtray use to be. i made a lil notch for the switch with a box cutter and just tapped it in the notch it looks pretty sweet. i may try the lighter thing though.
