Switch from ka24e to de

Is it possible to swith the head of the "de" to my "e"? I know I'll have to have an aftermarket ECU, and miscellanious parts..but is there any hardware issues with doing this? ex-the "de" head not fitting on the "e" block. Hit me back.

It's been done but not recommended. Some of the major items to be changed also are:1 - timing cover, chain assembly and oil pickup2 - exhaust/intake manifolds3 - MAF4 - distributor5 - engine wiring harness6 - throttle body and TPS7 - ECU

Answered my ?.Sounds like it would be easier to swap whole engine,harness & ecu from late model frontier.
