Switch beside lighter

I have an '89 240sx and I was wondering what the red switch beside the lighter is for? It doesn't seem to do anything, does this mean it's been tampered with? What should it do?

thats the passenger eject button, it also will deploy the missle launcher

that isn't a stock switch, previous owner probably had that installed or something, 240's never came with a liitle red button as far as i know..

On my '93 the space next to the lighter is where the power mirror switch would be (if I had them). Assuming you don't have power mirrors, and there's an actual switch there...I don't know what it is.

Are you sure it's a switch and not just a normal piece of plastic covering what would otherwise be just a hole?

mine has a switch there for my power folding mirrors from JAPAN!

but before that I had a foglight switch there
