How do I get rid of or minimize the swirls on my instrument cluster on my "00" I30? I bought it used and when the car is off you can see swirls (scratches) on the plastic screen.

I think you may need to buy a new one.If anyone has had success with removing these swirls, I'd like to know as well. :D

Try this in the liquid form ... makes a big mess, so you really need to remove the lens before you try it - but it works - at least on light scratches! I use it for light scratches in clear coat, which is it's intended use, and also for removing scratches in CDs, Plastic screens (cheap watches) etc... It's really a good thing to have around the house.

Bottle costs about $2.

I've used the Novus plastic polishes for many years and they are very good. They work on everything from plexiglass, acrylics, and Lexan. I would try the Novus No. 2 scratch remover first then move up to the No. 1 polish. They will even make faded tailights look showroom. I think you'll be pleased with the products. Here's a link below:

Found this trick from a friend at a detail shop. Spray some PLEDGE furniture polish on the area. let sit a minute, then take a soft cloth, or a coffee filter and lightly remove the excess.
