How can I remove them? I don't even understand how I got them in the first place.

1. Bought car -
2. Had a couple scratches so dealership buffed
3. Washed a week later, and incorrectly applied wax and polish - there were so many swirls on it, i thought I was gonna go crazy
4. Washed later same day - most swirls gone
5. Today/Present - still have a lot of swirls, even after my latest wash using microfiber

Do you guys use any products like these? http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/sh ... php?t=7011
I'm stumped. Everything shows up on black and I want my car to be spotless.

Same thing happened with my trunk. The dealership replaced it free of charge.

Are you blind? =p Maximize it.
I'm thinking maybe it's from the bad polishing I did the first time but I mean can that endure rain and three followup washes?

Get it buffed by a professional and all the swirls will be gone.
Won't they just come back later though?

Black paint on these cars is VERY thin and seems to be a 1 coat jobbie.

I do the following:

1. Wash car with a brand name car soap and microfiber.
2. Clay car with Meguires (or other) car claying kit.
3. Apply AutoGlym car wax (I use the actual wax, my friend uses the spray, both work just as well). It goes on super easy and comes off super easy. Do it in the shade, let the wax "dry" for at least 10-15 minutes and it'll come off super easy.
4. Buff by hand with a microfibre cloth (you will need several).

100% Black shine every time. Seems to fill in minor scratches too. I love it.

*looks out window, ah it's snowing.. effff*

Yeah I had a little spot on the back of my trunk that I wasnt happy with so they took it back there to be professionally waxed and they ended up making the whole trunk swirly like yours. My dad threw a fit and they took a trunk off of a brand new car and threw it on mine ;) It definitely solved my problem

Lemme guess: Cheap auto-parts-store microfibers?

Toss 'em. They're garbage.

Hit up AutoGeek or Griot's Garage for the real deal.

You guessed correctly. GF bought it for me from the dollar store =[
I knew this would be the case but I wanted to go ahead and try it.

And we used other small cheap microfiber pads on the very first wash where I did the wax wrong. Sigh.

GRIT GUARD
If you arent using one, you are just swirling around dirt!

Go on youtube for correct process in washing, or look here on nico!

A professional polish should make it all go away, and then washing correctly keeps em from coming back!

Oooof, I myself am a self inflicted victim of this... using brand new pads and good waxes/polish with store bought microfiber towels, could not believe all the swirls as soon as a few rain storms or washes dulled the finish... it started out as severe water spots from the community sprinkler system had burned into the paint, tried to clean them up with cleaner and waxes only to create a bigger problem.
after getting disgusted with the appearance I had the car professional cleaned. It is much better but will take another good cleaning to get all the spots/haze out... oooof Black cars...

Hey Long Beach, Whasssup! how have ya been!

Turtle wax makes a kit called "Black Box" I just used it on my car (black) and it looks awesome. The dealer had "waxed" the car before i got it (it's an '08) and it had light swirls etc in it and after using Black Box I couldn't be happier. It's only $20 at local auto stores....Might give it a try.

here`s one for ya: when we test drove the car it was mint as far as we could tell, still had that white plastic covering parts of the car.
after we closed the deal, they took the car into the shop and cleaned it up...
how`s about the dealer has a contract with the car wash across the street, and that`s how the car got washed, then they applied some wax with a machine and burned a part of the quarter panel that I didn`t see until the next day... ooof...

Looks like I have a long list of things to try haha. Gonna allocate some money to a professional washing and some towards buying products. Thanks for everyone's suggestions

That sucks bro. Did they do anything to compensate for that?
