Hi,
2001 Pathfinder
Can someone please tell me what this part is so I can replace it. It is located next to the airfilter intake by the MAF. it is connected to the Swirl vacuum lines.
It is about the size of a beer can and has or had 2 vacuum hose barbs coming out of the top that snapped off.
I have a picture but cant figure how to paste it in.
Thanks

You're talking about this bad boy that's mounted on the side of the air filter box?

Courtesy Parts refers to it simply as "tank" Fortunately it's not super expensive, though you could probably scare one up on eBay or pick-a-part for even cheaper.

Oh, and if you hit the quote button for that post, you can see how I embedded the photo. Imgur is a great choice for posting photos.

Thats it !! Guy putting a MAF in snapped the barbs off and just put a screw to close the one line. I wish i could see the difference in the performance but seems the same. I first thought it was just an emissions line but after seeing the scan results I learned what the swirl is as the code came up. But like I said I didnt see any performance difference.
But I would like to make it right.
I'll go look to get one.
Thank you
