hi have been trouble with car going into limp home mode
did a manual error code using this method
push acc pedal 5 times
wait 7 sec and then push acc pedal down for 10 sec
it puts of 1130
swirl control solenoid vale
have cleared the fault then driven the car and for a while it seemed ok then hits limp home mode again
cleared the code then started engine and unplugged the valve
same code came up yet it seems like the solenoid is working as it switches when i push the acc pedal
not sue if it is meant to do that but seems to be working

thinking its the solenoid so i might replace it and see what happens
otherwise it could be the vale the solenoid is controlling ?
or maybe the computer

car is a
2004 250gt skyline or g35 skyline sedan
vq25di
any help would be great

thanks

That's a good one...not sure what the issue is. If you can do the work, I'd replace the faulty part and see if the condition improves. If not, take it in for a diagnostic.

yer not sure either just know something is wrong and this code keeps coming up and you cant really drive the car when it happens
im thinking it the solenoid so will replace that and see
looks like its a common problem as nissan dealer has lots of these in stock and has sold a few this year so ill try that
fingers crossed haha

Have you gone over the FSM for that code on troubleshooting and replacement?

ok so checked it with nissan consult
removed error code drove it and no code
checked the function of solenoid and it seems to be working, may be an intermittent fault who knows
well we looked at the data and most things seem ok yet the timing seems more retarded on the right side bank than the left, without having another model to compare im not sure if this is normal

so i have used the factory nissan oil and maybe that will make a difference as thats the only thing i have done and didn't put the right viscosity of oil in,fingers crossed its that easy....

if not then we suspect the chain to have stretched and is causing these problems
will scope the sensors then compare them to make sure everything is ok
major pain as that takes ages
and then might have to change the timing chain which seems like a mission
bummer
will keep posting in case someone else has similar problems
