ok, so i finished putting a second coat of paint in my gutted trunk, and today , after two days of rain, the spare tire well has a quarter inch of water in it. i pulled the rubber plugs and it drained, but how did i get there in the first place? only idea i have is i got it thru the spoiler mount, which has rust. but i dumped a cup of water on it, and nothing came through. im stumped....-Enzo

alright... have someone take a hose, water the hatch from the outside...

while you sit on the inside and try to figure out where the leak is! and so you can narrow it down and fix it!

good luck

Mine has done that too but Im still in the process of fixing it....it could also come from the lights...try taking them out and resealing them again.

Maybe the seal for the rear hatch is shot? I know mine needs replacing.

mine did that when I still had the rusty hatch on... try some silicone or get a new hatch already! I replaced mine with a non spoiler non rust model, and no more pool!

It could Still be the sealer on the tail lights. My neighbor has a '91 Sentra with water in the trunk and no wing. I told him about the water in hatch and how i put in new sealer around my taillights. He used the extra sealant gunk and now no water. Also, if you do have a wing with rusty holes, water will still get in. Get that fixed up too... and it is a pain in the nuts.

This same thing was happening to me and I can verify that this works to fix the problem.
